Sleeping beauty

Carmen is a good sleeper. She sleeps about 8 - 10 hours

at night. We are SO lucky!! Isn't she adorable??

Sitting up... kind of

Carmen wants to learn how to sit up by herself.

She loves to sit on the couch up against the

cushion for practice.

Camera Shy

Everytime I take the camera out to take a video or picture of Carmen, she is so interested in the camera that she stops whatever she was doing that I wanted to take a picture of. So, she was just talking away on the couch the other day and I thought if I could get her without her seeing the camera... but she caught me...

Don't tell Juan

So at night Petey likes to lay on Juan's pillows.

Juan told me not to let him do it, but what am I

supposed to do? "No Petey, Daddy says you can't

lay on his pillows"... like that's going to work!

Juan and I say that Carmen is plotting to take over the world.

Carmen is learning how to reach for things she wants and, of course, put them in her mouth.

Carmen sure does love her daddy!! Whenever I say "Daddy" she gives me

the biggest gummy grin. She's definitely going to be a Daddy's Girl!

My very first post!!

Hello all!! I'm very excited to get our family blog started up so those that are far away can get updates and see pictures of our little family.



Let's see... where to begin. Our sweet angel Carmen is almost 4 months old now! Holy cow, how did time go by so fast?!? I can't believe it. She's so strong now and I know she will only get stronger everyday. She loves to sit up and "stand" with assistance, of course, on our laps. She's holding her head so straight.



She knows her name and will turn to look at you when you call her, that is unless she's playing one of her favorite games... I'm so shy. She loves to look and at you and as soon as you make eye contact, she looks away or rubs her face on whoever is holding her.



She is so adorable and beautiful. I didn't know it was possible to love someone so much. She's an answer to our prayers. We'll keep you updated and of course post tons of pictures.
