The lost camera

Some of you may wonder..."Why hasn't Sydney posted any pictures of that little girl recently?" Well that would be because I lost our camera. I searched everywhere... the house, the car, Sandi's house, the diaper bag, baskets of laundry, the office, etc. It was not to be found. But then... I found it, it was hanging right next to where I hang my keys everyday. If it had been a snake... it would have bit me!!! :o)

So, here are the pictures I meant to post over the last couple of weeks.


Juan's friend Emily gave this to us just after Carmen was born. Too cute!


I came home from work the other day to this.
Lynn had just tuckered her out. So sleepy.


I got this balloon for my birthday. That was Nov 5 and as you can see from the date on the picture... that was 5 months ago. Amazing! This was the first day it came down from a full float.


Carmen decided the other day that it was time for her to sit up all by herself. Props and supports are no longer needed, thank you very much. I can't believe it. She is getting so big.


Our friend Jen gave Carmen this wonderful "Flip the Flap" book. Carmen has really become interested in books and just loves this one. She reaches for it every morning.


We have a beautiful, large azalea bush right in front of our house. It is just covered in wonderful blossoms. It reminds me of when I was a child. We always had azaleas in the front yard.

My new calling

On Saturday morning we got the call... you all know the one. When a member of the bishopric calls you and wants to know if they can meet with you and your spouse before church on Sunday. You then try and figure out who is getting the new calling, well this time it was my turn. I've been called to be our Ward Activity Chairperson. Holy cow... ward activities. I guess I can handle this. I got a book called Ward Activities for the Clueless, I think that's about right!

I am so blessed

I have been thinking a lot lately about how blessed I am. The Lord has answered prayers and sent miracles to me. I have seen his hand in my life so much lately. He has given me so much more than I deserve or could possibly pay back. He has calmed my heart during trials and sent blessings I didn't know were possible.

My most favorite song is a song by Martina McBride it's called "Blessed":

Busy, busy, busy...

Hello all... we have been so busy around here the last week. I started back to work on April 2 and I'm trying to get back into the groove. I am working a temporary position back the office I working at before I had Carmen. I'm still interviewing and looking for something permanent.

Carmen is doing well. She's getting bigger everyday. It's just crazy. She's loving solids and tried green beans this past few days. She loved them. She ate an entire container of green beans in the afternoon on Tuesday. When Lynn (my friend who's watching Carmen) told me, I couldn't believe it. She tried carrots for the first time today and seems to love those too. She's a veggie eating fool.

I like peace... and peas

Carmen got her first taste of peas the other day and

you can tell by her face... she was fond of them.

Look what I can do!!

The handle on the faucet in our bathroom broke, so I decided to replace it. I realized after starting the job that not only would the faucet need to be replaced, but all the hardware under the sink would also need to be replaced, including the shut-off valves. I did it all by myself!!

I am woman... hear me roar!
