Carmen has been learning to laugh at things. Shannon got her to laugh the other day and we were able to catch her on video. She also finds Petey and getting nibbled on the tummy funny.

I just LOVE Michael Buble

Oh my gosh... we went to see Michael Buble last night here in Charlottesville. I just think he is the best singer!!! We had great seats and had a blast. For those who don't know who he is, he sings Frank Sinatra type music. Just love, love, love him!! Here are some pictures.

4 month check-up

Hello all,

Carmen went to the doctor's on Wednesday for her 4 month check-up and shots. She weighed in at 17 lbs. 9 oz., putting her in the 98 percentile for her age. Oh yes, Carmen is a chunky monkey and we just love pinching those chubby legs and cheeks.

Her doctor said she is ready to begin eating solids, starting with rice cereal. She strongly voices her distaste (pun intended) for this addition to her diet. I'm sure she'll learn to like it.

Another small first this week. Carmen sat in the "child's seat" in the shopping cart at the store yesterday instead of putting her car seat on top of it. She is so strong, even her doctor made a comment about how strong she is for her age.
