My little tomato plant

I got this little "Mini Tomato" plant and thought I'd try it in my office. It's actually growing! I think it's so cute and funny. I'll keep you updated on it's progress!

I love family!

My sister, Stacy, and her family arrived on Saturday from Utah. They are going to be visiting for a month!! I'm so excited. I just love family. When I think of the wonderful gift and promise of eternal families, my heart and eyes fill. I can't imagine spending eternity without them by my side. I love the closeness and friendships that we share. Heavenly Father has blessed me with a wonderful family.

A short breather

So I am the Ward Activities Chair for our ward. We had a Fourth of July Pancake Breakfast on Friday morning. I had no idea how many would come, so I planned for 150 and kept my receipts just in case. I'm certain we had over 100 and we could barely keep up with the demand for pancakes. The morning flew by and I can't tell you how thankful I was for family and friends that signed up to help as my whole committee is out of town for the summer! Everyone told me they had a great time.

So now I have a little bit of a break until the next activity which will be a tri-ward sock hop! So much fun. That's in just a couple of weeks, but it helps that we have several people on board to plan and three wards to pull volunteers from!

I must admit that I was completely freaking out about being responsible for the activity on Friday. I've planned events before, but never on my own. I know Heavenly Father was watching over me and helped everyone that was there be patient with me for my first activity.

Thanks again to all of you that helped!!!

And so it begins...

Carmen will never be still again. She is growing so fast. I can't believe how big she is.

The most beautiful girl in the world

I know that all mothers think their children are adorable and beautiful, but I just cannot get enough of this beautiful face and smile.

Playing catch up

Yes, we are still here. We've been so busy with work and other responsibilities that posting got pushed to the back burner. But we have lots of pictures to share. Enjoy!

Carmen has taken to sleeping on her side lately. She moves all over the place during the night now a days.

She has also decided that sitting is for the birds. We can't keep her down... or still!

Carmen has a little rubber squeaky frog that she absolutely loves. She likes to bite it to make it squeak.

My mom and dad came to visit for a few days and took the kids to the lake to play. Carmen loved being out with the other kids.
