A short breather

So I am the Ward Activities Chair for our ward. We had a Fourth of July Pancake Breakfast on Friday morning. I had no idea how many would come, so I planned for 150 and kept my receipts just in case. I'm certain we had over 100 and we could barely keep up with the demand for pancakes. The morning flew by and I can't tell you how thankful I was for family and friends that signed up to help as my whole committee is out of town for the summer! Everyone told me they had a great time.

So now I have a little bit of a break until the next activity which will be a tri-ward sock hop! So much fun. That's in just a couple of weeks, but it helps that we have several people on board to plan and three wards to pull volunteers from!

I must admit that I was completely freaking out about being responsible for the activity on Friday. I've planned events before, but never on my own. I know Heavenly Father was watching over me and helped everyone that was there be patient with me for my first activity.

Thanks again to all of you that helped!!!

Hi! I found your blog through another blog! The sock hop sounds like lots of fun! Is that for the whole family or the adults or what? Heidi Monteith

Sydney!!!! Oh, I miss you! I can't send emails (my lame computer is giving me fits),but I wanted to say hello and that I hope things are going well. I heard the activity was a huge hit! Of course it was, YOU did it! And I agree that Heavenly Father was helping you. He is so mindful of every aspect of our lives.

Love you lots!
